Porn Spammers Tracked, Identified Claims Facebook

Facebook is claiming that it has succeeded in identifying the source responsible for the recent flooding of hardcore porn as well as violent images posted in some users' newsfeeds in this popular social networking site. Facebook Inc. commented that their legal team will "ensure appropriate consequences follow".


These statements were made after various objectionable materials like porn, images of extreme violence and fake celebs photos like Justin Bieber in different sexual positions were found in the profiles of some users reports PCR.


This incident led to the probability that the popular social networking website might lose some of its 800 million users, stated Sophos Ltd., a Britain-based security researcher firm, reported Sydney Morning Herald.


The senior technology consultant in Sophos, Graham Cluley, said, "'Facebook needs to get this under control, because the content is so offensive''.


Facebook commented that, "Protecting the people who use Facebook from spam and malicious content is a top priority for us'', On their future course of action, Facebook announced that they have already prepared enforcement mechanisms that will close the malicious pages as well as accounts quickly.


For the attack that lasted for almost 24 hours on Tuesday, it has been speculated that the well known hacktivist group Anonymous might be responsible.
